Music Culture

The Music Culture that has shaped who I am as a person would have to just general 90's pop music in the USA. I remember sitting in the car listening to this song with this beat and this girl always singing "oh baby baby" and I was really annoyed. So, the only natural thing to do was to mock her to my sister because my sister would always listen to this song on the radio. But then it grew on me and I found out that this was Britney Spears's "Hit me baby one more time." That's how my start into liking pop music started. I remember the days when there was Nsync with "Bye bye bye" and backstreet boys with " The Call." These boy bands, other artist really shaped my natural attraction to pop music culture. I don't know why I was so attracted to this music but now that I think about it, there was always a certain cool beat to every song that I had heard from them. There was also Faith Hill's "The Way you love me" and Celine Dion's "That's the way it is" which were both upbeat and hopeful songs. I am a very happy person and those songs that are upbeat and positive are really songs that I associate with. Now, more recently I like songs that I can dance to. I am a person that really likes musicals too such as the "The sound of music" or "Hairspray." These days my music tastes are very eclectic with a wide variety from Lady Gaga, to Sean Kingston to Vfactory to Enya.
